Celebrate “Veganuary Day” at Luvin Arms on Saturday, January 21st!

It’s a new year. Time for new healthy habits! Luvin Arms is offering a day of plant-based education to start off the new year on the right foot.

Attend one or all presentations. Most talks are offered both in-person and online.

At 10am: Nutrition Presentation “Introduction to a Plant-Based Lifestyle” by RDN Melinda Benz (virtual only)

Vegan Registered Dietitian Melinda Benz will discuss the basics of plant-based nutrition, from where to get essential nutrients, like protein, calcium, and B12, and small steps towards shifting eating habits to a plant-based lifestyle.

At 1pm: Nutrition Presentation “Animal Products and Human Health: Should they have a place on our dinner table?” by Dr. Eric Collard

Many of us grew up consuming animal products, taking for granted that these were necessary for optimal health, and strong bones and muscle. Were we just duped by savvy marketing and advertising about these products? What are the consequences of what we eat on our health? Dr. Eric Collard will take an in-depth look at how animal and plant foods affect our health and wellness. 

At 2pm: Sanctuary Tour 

Before the evening cooking demo, guests will have the unique opportunity to meet and connect with the beloved animal residents who live in the Big Barn.

At 3pm: “New Year, New You” Cooking Demo by Chef Donna Marino and RDN Cathy Schmelter

Wherever you are on your plant-based journey, you don’t want to miss this opportunity to learn some easy vegan recipes and meal plans from Certified Rouxbe Plant-Based Chef Donna, and ask RDN Cathy all your burning questions about plant-based protein choices. Food samples will be provided.
