Event Description

Doug Tallamy, an Entomologist, Behavioral Ecologist, and Professor at the University of Delaware, will present a live webinar based on his new book and New York Times Best Seller, Nature’s Best Hope:  A New Approach to Conservation that Starts in Your Yard.  In this very informative presentation, Doug will highlight the effects that habitat loss, fragmentation, and the introduction of over 3,300 nonnative plant species have had on plummeting insect and bird populations; what we can personally do to reverse this trend, and why we, ourselves, are nature’s best hope.

Nature's Best Hope shows how homeowners everywhere can turn their yards into conservation corridors that provide wildlife habitats. Because this approach relies on the initiatives of private individuals, it is immune from the whims of government policy.
