Event Description
The Day of the Dead or Día de los Muertos is a Mexican holiday and celebration where families make colorful altars in their homes in honor of their deceased loved ones. WOW! is delighted to partner with ELPASO to share stories, create altars, and celebrate this cultural holiday together. We will provide altar boxes, items to decorate, flowers, and guidance on how to create your own Día de los Muertos altar. And, you'll get to take your altar home with you!
All Día de los Muertos activities are included with Museum admission or membership.
- 10:30am - Storytime in English & Spanish
- 10:00am-4:00pm - Altar making in the ArtSpace. Bring your own photos or mementos to put in your altar!
