Lyons was one of the hardest hit towns by the 2013 "1,000 year flood." The town has memorabilia on display -and- for sale in its history museum, along with photos, video, newspapers, personal effects like "hero recognition" and "flood debris." (More large photos are in the Visitor Center). Buy all of the local Front Range books and media on the flood here, as well as 52-weeks of the local newspaper. / Addtl. exciting exhibits and black-and-white photos are on display all summer. Approx. 50 art pieces have been pulled out and put on display.
The museum is open daily till Sept. 3rd. From 930am to 430pm, except opens at 12:30pm on Sundays. Entrance by donation.
