FREE seedling trees 5/24/25 7AM

Your Neighborhood Christmas Tree Farm will once again have 325 small seedling trees to give away this summer, starting Saturday May 24th at 7AM. The give-away will run until all the trees are gone. This is the 19th year we have given away trees and our 10,300^th tree was given away last year.  

The free trees are 1 – 3-foot-tall catalpas, oaks, Ohio buckeyes, horse chestnuts, choke cherries, Colorado blue spruce, lindens, Nordmann firs, Japanese pagodas, ponderosa pines, Tatarian maples, and Russian hawthorns.  There are also some golden currants, raspberries, Oregon grape and autumn clematis. All trees are drought resistant, but of course will grow faster and fix more carbon with extra water. 

We are located at 4340 13^th, one block east of Broadway between Upland and Violet. Look for "Nelly-Belle the Carbon Cart" in front of the house and pick out your trees. Planting instructions are in a box on the cart.  Please be sure to plant your trees right away and take good care of them. It won't help the climate at all if you plant a tree, and then kill it with neglect.  Planting trees helps sequester carbon in the soil and combat global warming.  Trees can also make your life much more pleasant and cool!
