Half Zen debut CD Concert for Wesoterica

Lafayette, CO– At fifty-six retired administrative law judge Jonathan “Gresch” Greschler is making a dream real in the February 2020 release of Wesoterica. The singer only started learning music in his fifties after being told he was not really a singer for much of his life.  Five years of dedicated practice and song writing later, Jonathan and his band Half Zen, are ready to take the world by storm. The budding musician truly is a testament to the idea if you set your mind to it, you can achieve anything you want in life.

Fusing together the charismatic bravado of 80’s alternative with the unconventional rhythms of punk and infectious melodies of classic pop; Half Zen channels a balance of Zen with Passion. The music is a collaboration of Jonathan’s lyrics and melodies with the instrumentation of charting musician and record producer, Justin Long.  Often compared to acts like Elvis Costello and The Talking Heads, Half Zen creates a sound and performance that is quirky, timeless and brimming with feel-good energy.
