Health and Wellness Leader Trainings at COAW Academy Sept. 8-13 in Lakewood

A Community Falls Prevention Specialist Certification and Cancer: Thriving and Surviving leader training are being offered at the Consortium for Older Adult Wellness Academy Sept. 8-13 at the Link Recreation Center, 1295 S. Reed St. in Lakewood.

Discounts are available for early registrations and multiple organization member registrations. Leader trainings are geared toward healthcare, recreation and wellness professionals and are open to the community. CEUs are offered for all classes. Upon completion, leaders are encouraged and supported in implementing classes in their communities.

Community Falls Prevention Specialist Certification includes:

• Introduction to Falls Prevention programming workshop
• A Matter of Balance leader/coach training
• N'Balance instructor training
• Tai Chi for Arthritis for Falls Prevention instructor training
