This summer, students at Broomfield Academy’s Summer Camp learned about the each of the states in the United States. They participated in fun science experiments with Mad Science and were able to choose from several 1-2 week mini-camps offered each morning.

A couple of weeks ago, students participated in mini-camps called “Fun with Dr. Seuss” and Drama Camp. In “Fun with Dr. Seuss,” students made new hats for the Cat in the Hat, created underwater visions in honor of One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish, ate Green Eggs and Ham, and wrote their own Dr. Seuss inspired poetry.

In Drama Camp, students met with a real actor and talked about the business of acting. They acted out several short skits and plays, and had great fun doing improvisational acting. Drama Camp ended with a Cast Party following the performance of a short play that the children wrote.
