Zak Maytum Receives YMCA Outstanding Youth Award

Zak Maytum has received the Outstanding Youth Award for 2007 from the Boulder YMCA. A junior at New Vista High School, Zak is an active volunteer who works with local teens at different skate parks to help build confidence, skills and social community. YMCA program administrators call Zak a model citizen who makes it a priority to encourage his peers to better themselves, both in skating and life. Most recently, Zak has achieved professional status in the sport of skateboarding, competing in national and international competitions.
