Louisville Middle School Destination Imagination team heading to GLOBALS

A Destination Imagination team from Louisville Middle School is going to Globals! Destination Imagination is a creative problem solving competition that schools/teams from all over the world participate in. This team's name is "THE FLAILING CORNMUFFINS" Team members are: Josh Behrens, Ryan Good and Rich Sanchez - all 6th graders from Louisville Middle School and Kyle Kihn - a 6th grader from Platte Choice. Team Coach is Kimber Good. This team placed first at Regionals at Monarch High School on April 12th. They also won the Renaissance Award for Extreme Creativity and were 1 of only 2 teams that won a $50 College Scholarship award from College Invest. They went on to compete at the State Level on April 26th and took FIRST place there to secure their spot to go to the GLOBAL competition in Knoxville
Tennessee from May 21st - May 24th. Teams from all over the world compete at
Globals! The Challenge that this team has performed is called "Chorific" which is in an Improvisational Challenge. They had to perform a task that had two obstacles to overcome and also incorporate a famous person in history into their challenge. They had 30 minutes to come up with a skit/props/and solution to the challenge and 6 minutes to perform their solution. They did not know until they arrived at each competion what their task/obstacles and famous person would be. They presented a flawless performance!
