Recent History in the Mapleton Historical District

If you believe that history is relative, and that everything old is new again; or if you simply derive enjoyment from a good rummage sale bargain, you'll be at this year's fourth annual Mapleton Hill Boulder Historic District rummage sale. It's Saturday, May 31, 2008 from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

The Mapleton neighborhood is a notable area in town, renowned for hosting the kind of old Boulder real estate and homes with ever climbing values that has made the county famous. Known for its historical society and well-preserved architecture, the annual sale is pretty much always a success.

It's a block party-slash-yard sale with over forty homes displaying goods that seasoned garage sale veterans flock to. You're bound to find anything and everything, from home decor to the kitchen sink--literally. You'll also find refreshments in the form of lemonade, coffee, baked goods and more. Oddly, no exact is given as a starting point, but you'll find printed maps of participating homes when you get there.
