LunchTime Forum: Elder Neglect and Abuse in Boulder County
Restoring the Soul and RSVP Boulder County present a free panel discussion on the issues facing elders. The panel of experts include: Tsunemi Rooney of Safehouse Progressive Alliance for Nonviolence; Cindy Taylor of the Boulder County's District Attorney's Office; Janet Ibanez of Boulder County Aging Services; and Katherine Campbell, Elder Care Consultant. The panel discussion is from 11:30am to 12:30pm followed by Q&A until 1pm.
It is probably a shock to learn that not only are there significant numbers of isolated elderly in our home county but there are also elderly who are victims of financial scams as well as those neglected and abused by their families and caregivers. These incidents tend to escalate when economic times become difficult.
