Boulder Rotary honors Michelle Carpenter

Boulder High Spanish teacher Michelle Carpenter received the annual Theme Award from the Boulder Rotary Club. The award is given to the club member who best exemplifies Rotary International's annual theme, which for the 2007-2008 Rotary year was "Rotary Shares."Carpenter founded the Adelante program at Boulder High, which helps Latino students prepare for college. She also helped start mentoring programs where Rotarians work one on one with Adelante students.
