Laurie Rugenstein Wins Gold at USATF Masters Championships

Laurie Rugenstein of Boulder recently participated in the USATF 2008 USA Masters Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Spokane, Washington. She won the national championship and gold medals in the women’s 60-64 5000 meter and 1500 meter track races and a silver medal in the 800 meter race. Earlier in the season Laurie was age group winner in the Bolder Boulder 10k, the Mile High Mile in Denver, and the Pearl Street Mile. She also broke age group records in the 800 meter, 1500 meter, and 10k races at the Rocky Mountain Senior Games in Greeley in June. Laurie is coached by Ric Rojas.
