5th Annual Front Range Playwrights' Showcase

Coal Creek Community Theater (CCCT) will present the 5^th Annual Front Range Playwrights’ Showcase on Friday, August 26^th at 7:00pm at the Louisville Center for the Arts (801 Grant Ave.). This unique and enlightening event will feature staged readings of 3 plays written by Colorado Playwrights.  This year’s showcase will feature “Plan B, et seq.” by Linda Berry, “Pocket of Joy” by Carrie Printz and “Volunteer Work” by Katherine Dubois.  Each of these pieces will be adjudicated by a panel of esteemed judges followed by talk backs between the casts, playwrights and the audience.  At the end of the night a winning play will be chosen and will then be produced by CCCT to compete in the Colorado Community Theatre Coalition Competition next year. Past shows that have won the Front Range Playwrights’ Showcase have gone on to win 1^st Place (The Organist’s Daughter) and 3^rd Place (Senior Moments) at the state competition and advanced to the American Association of Community Theatre’s Regional competitions.
