Acacia Fraternity in Boulder, CO successfully raised $2,312 for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation this past Saturday, April 6th. The philanthropy was created in support of brother Chase Youngman who has type one diabetes. Immediately prior to being diagnosed, Chase had a milkshake. When told that he had diabetes, the doctor mentioned that Chase wouldn't be able to have milkshakes moving forward. Chase has a milkshake once a year to celebrate the anniversary of the diagnosis, and the philanthropy Milkshakes for Diabetes was created to celebrate and raise money for the JDRF. Thank you to everyone who attended, and a special thank you to FourStar in Boulder for donating $1,000 and IFC Greek Advocate Marc Stine for donating $100.
