Each holiday season, the "I Have a Dream" Foundation of Boulder County seeks community members to "adopt" low-income youth (Dreamers) and their families to help provide them with gifts and brighten their holiday celebrations. For this year's Adopt-A-Family drive, the community supported 820 individuals with holiday gifts. This was the most successful Adopt-A-Family drive since the program began in 1999!

Through our Adopt-A-College Dreamer program, they collected college care packages for 14 Dreamer alumni who are away from home and in college. We also received welcome gift bags for 15 Oak Class Dreamers who will begin our programming in 2015.

They are very grateful for the support, but if you would still like to contribute, we still have more ways to give. We still need 45 more welcome gift bags for the Oak Class Dreamers. We are still accepting donations for our Adopt-A-Center program. For this program, donors receive a wish list from one of their program centers, and the gifts help support programming at that site throughout the year. They also have a few remaining Oak Class Dreamers who need to be sponsored. Sponsoring a Dreamer helps a child achieve their dreams of going to college and breaking the cycle of poverty. A pledge of $209 a month for 10 years will provide a college scholarship and academic programming to transform a child's life.
