BackStory Youth Theatre Presents Bird Brains November 18-19

Backstory Youth Theatre in
Broomfield, Colorado, proudly presents Bird
Brains
, a musical in two acts. Written by Ron and Bret Carter, and directed
by Backstory Theatre’s Artistic Director, Anna Marie Wilcox, the story follows
a group of young men to the 1893 Chicago World Fair as they attempt to be the
first men to fly. Bird Brains is an original musical that has only been
produced one other time.

Even though the clouds are still
out of reach, Augustus Fairfield and his friends have built a flying machine.
If it works, they will make history. However, fame and fortune require
sacrifices. They may have to choose between greatness and what makes a man
truly great. This is the story of the men who were almost the first ones to fly.

This is the premiere show for
Backstory Youth Theatre. The Youth Theatre is one of three arms for Backstory
Theatre. There is an active Theatre Academy and Theatre Company in Broomfield
as well. Students that are performing in the show auditioned in July to be
cast. Several actors are playing multiple roles in the production. The cast
members include youths from the northern metro area, ranging in age from eight
years old to eighteen years old.

The musical will be performed on
Friday, November 18 at 7:00pm; Saturday, November 19 at 2:00pm; and Saturday,
November 19 at 7:00pm; at the Broomfield Auditorium, 3 Community Park Road,
Broomfield, Colorado.
