Boulder County CareConnect Accepting Nominations for “Longmont Legends.”

Boulder County CareConnect (BCCC) is now accepting nominations for “Longmont Legends.” This is an opportunity for members of the Longmont community to honor those that make Longmont unique. Categories include Legendary Business, Legendary Community Personality, Legendary Volunteer, and Legendary Senior. The "Longmont Legends" awards will be presented on October 6th from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Left Hand Brewing, located at 1265 Boston Avenue in Longmont. This community celebration will include BBQ, live music from the Deciders, a silent auction, and drawings. Tickets will be available beginning September 1 for $12 each, and proceeds will benefit Boulder County CareConnect. BCCC is a non-profit organization celebrating 40 years of promoting the security, comfort, and independence of seniors and adults with disabilities. Volunteers provide access to transportation, nutrition, and home maintenance while alleviating isolation for seniors and adults with disabilities. BCCC also runs the Boulder County R.S.V.P chapter, which connects older adults with meaningful and engaging volunteer work in their own communities.
