Boulder County Students Named Winners of the University of Northern Colorado Mathematics Contest

Nine Boulder County students have been named winners of the 17th annual University of Northern Colorado Mathematics Contest, which attracted more than 1900 participants from grades 7 through 12 this year.

The winners included Fairview High School students Charles Xu (1st place overall), Ben Alpert (7th place overall), Chris Guthrie (tenth grade winner), Nicolas Ledru (ninth grade winner), Cissy Chen (ninth grade winner), and Will Conway (ninth grade honorable mention); Alexander Dawson School student Hunter Chase (eleventh grade winner); and Summit Middle School students Kyle Christensen (eighth grade winner), and Albert Soh (seventh grade winner).

The twenty-four winners from around the state will be honored at an awards banquet on April 5.
