Boulder Student Wins Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship

Hannah Alpert, currently a sophomore at the University of Chicago, has been named a 2009 Goldwater Scholar. A graduate of Fairview High School, Hannah will receive a $15,000 scholarship from the federally endowed Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship Program, which is designed to foster and encourage outstanding students to pursue careers in the fields of mathematics, the natural sciences, and engineering.
