Boulder Students Advance to National MATHCOUNTS Competition

Seventh grader Albert Soh and sixth grader Jesse Zhang finished in first and second place, respectively, at the Colorado MATHCOUNTS Competition to qualify for the National MATHCOUNTS Competition. The two Summit Middle School students win all-expenses-paid trips to Orlando, FL, where top middle school students from around the country will meet to compete for scholarship prizes on Friday, May 8, 2009.

Other prizes awarded at the state competition, which took place on Saturday, March 21, 2009, at the University of Denver, included first place team to Summit Middle School, sixth place team to Eldorado K-8 School, and sixth place individual to Jay Kranzdorf of Summit Middle School.
