Boulder Students Headed to National Math Competition

At the Colorado MATHCOUNTS Competition which took place on Saturday, March 13, 2010, at the Colorado School of Mines, Albert Soh of Summit Middle Charter School won first place and Jesse Zhang of Southern Hills Middle School won second place in the individual competition.  The two Boulder students are headed to the National MATHCOUNTS Competition in Disney World, Orlando, FL, to compete for college scholarships and other prizes on Friday, May 7, 2010.


In the team competition Summit Middle Charter School won first place, Southern Hills Middle School won second place, and Eldorado K-8 School won fourth place.  Top ten individuals included Larry Zhang of Summit Middle Charter School (seventh place) and Riley Xu of Eldorado K-8 School (tenth place).
