Boulder Valley Education Association Awards Scholarships to Seniors

For many years, the Boulder Valley Education Association's Scholarship Committee has met in the spring to interview candidates for BVEA scholarships.  Mim Campos, Todd Wheeler and  Tina Mueh served on the committee this year and awarded scholarships to four outstanding, well-deserving students. Scholarships are awarded to students who plan to enter the teaching field. They are based on academic achievement, contributions to the school, activities and financial need.  The recipients of this year's BVEA scholarship awards are: Valerie Nirschl of Centaurus High School, Marietta Reese of Broomfield High School, Cassidy Foster of Broomfield High School and Dana Feeney of Fairview High School.  The recipients are eligible to apply for renewal scholarships for 3 years and those are awarded based on academic achievement and successful progress toward the goal of a teaching career.  This year, renewals were awarded to:  Eftychia Pagratis, Samantha Seymour, Ashley Summerton, Beth Cannon, Molly Weber and Kasey Erdman.  BVEA would like to congratulate these outstanding recipients and wish them well as they begin their teaching careers.
