BVSD School Lunch Menus Now Available Online in RSS at http://SchoolLunchFeed.com

Boulder Valley School District lunch menus are now available online in RSS feed format at http://SchoolLunchFeed.com.

My daughter started kindergarten in the Boulder Valley School District this year, and I thought it would be great to be able to see her lunch menu in the same iGoogle web page that collects the rest of my daily news and weather.

After Googling around, I couldn't find a plain old RSS feed with the information, so I built it myself. I'm now sharing it for everyone else who prefers an RSS feed to ink-on-dead-trees. I'm also doing this as practical example of how useful RSS feeds and feed aggregating websites like iGoogle and MyYahoo! can be.

RSS feeds allow you to subscribe to specific information like the latest news or the new posts on a particular blog. RSS feed readers like iGoogle and MyYahoo! are especially handy because they can pull information from dozens of websites and put it in a single web page for you to view.
