After a successful weekend-long celebration featuring celebrity appearances, giveaways and events, Cabela’s is now officially open in Lone Tree and Thornton. The opening weekend on August 15-18, 2013 was one of the largest in Cabela’s Grand Opening history, bringing in well over 10,000 people to both locations, on the first day alone. The celebration of Cabela’s 46th and 47th stores across North America, delayed traffic on both sides of town, while attendees enjoyed events and activities for the entire family, including fly tying and fly casting. Additionally, Cabela’s awarded giveaways to the first shoppers through the doors Thursday through Sunday. Guests were also presented with special appearances from Troy and Jacob Landry of the “Swamp People” television series; Michael Waddell, co-host of the “Bone Collector” television series; country music star Justin Moore; and more.
The interior of Cabela’s Denver locations are designed to surround customers in the outdoor experience, offering thousands of quality outdoor products while providing something for every member of the family, including: museum-quality wildlife displays and trophy animal mounts re-created in their natural habitats; mountain replica, complete with wild-game displays and aquarium; raised dioramas with hand-painted backdrops and a deli serving Cabela’s famous home-made fudge, a customer favorite, as well as a Bargain Cave and Gun Library. The Thornton store is located at 14050 Lincoln St. near 144th Avenue off Interstate-25 and the Lone Tree store is located at 10670 Cabela Drive at Ridgegate Parkway off 1-25.
