Catalyst High School Earns NCA CASI Accreditation

May 2010 – Principal, Ed Porritt, announced today that Catalyst High School, with a unique contract-based education approach, earned the highest possible level of accreditation from the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement (NCA CASI), an accreditation division of AdvancED.  This action results from the AdvancED’s Commission Quality Assurance Review that concluded April 30, 2010, at Catalyst in Lafayette, Colorado.

NCA CASI provides nationally-recognized accreditation, the purpose of which is continuous school improvement focused on increasing student performance.  To earn accreditation, schools must meet NCA CASI’s high standards, be evaluated by a team of professionals from outside the school, and implement a continuous process of school improvement. 

“ Earning the NCA Accreditation demonstrates to our community that Catalyst High School is committed to raising achievement in students who need a personalized high school experience in a safe and enriching learning environment that is staffed by highly qualified educators,” stated Principal Ed Porritt. 

NCA CASI accreditation is recognized across state lines, which not only eases the transfer process as students move from one accredited school to another but also assures parents that the school is meeting nationally accepted standards for quality and successful professional practice.
