Louisville, CO. – Dust off the old family photos and go digital at the free, first-of-its-kind “Family Discovery Day” in Louisville at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 701 W South Boulder Road, Saturday, March 28, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sponsored by FamilySearch, the world’s largest free, non-profit genealogical organization, this fair-style event will help individuals across our community connect with their heritage and discover family stories by providing engaging and interactive activities for all ages, strengthening family bonds, and fostering a sense of belonging through shared history.
“Connecting with our family roots provides a positive sense of identity that helps build a stable, happy life,” said President Dan Waldrip, leader of the Boulder Colorado Stake of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. “We invite everyone to attend this community event.”
Booths will include digital resources to find and record your family tree, DNA learning, cultural displays, and photo digitization. This event is for anyone looking to explore their family tree, record their personal history and bridge the gap between their ancestors, their present family, and future generations–no matter if you’re a beginner or an expert.
