Brokerage provides cost-effective, pay-as-you-go model for ESG clients

ESG’s plan allows clients to effectively manage their money throughout the year, thanks to a unique payment model. Ryan Hicks, co-owner at Renaissance, explains, "Normally, workers’ compensation premiums are based on projected annual payroll at the time of the last renewal, and paid for in nine even installments. Businesses are paying premiums on these projected payrolls and after the expiration of the policy, they either receive money back or pay additional premiums as a result of a premium audit."
Under the plan provided to ESG clients, however, businesses will instead pay premium based on actual monthly payroll. This is particularly beneficial to seasonal businesses who may have drastic changes in payroll from month to month; however, it can help any type of business manage cash flow, since funds are not tied up in premiums that are not accurate. This can be a huge cash flow issue for the policy holder. "This is great news for our clients," Weaver says, "especially right now, when everyone is looking for ways to manage their cash flow more efficiently for both short- and long-term needs. If our clients have to reduce payroll, their premiums flex down with that reduction."
The new workers’ comp plan is provided by Pinnacol Assurance. Hicks and his team at Renaissance will manage the plan and provide individual service and attention to ESG and its clients as needed.
