Firestone recognizes volunteer

Firestone Mayor Paul Sorensen presented a Community in Motion award to Teresa Curtis on Aug. 13, 2014, for her outstanding volunteer contributions to the Firestone community. Curtis has been a longtime Firestone resident who has volunteered for a number of community events, including the 4th at Firestone, Food & Flick Fridays, sports tournaments, holiday festival and more. In the recent years, she has served as the volunteer coordinator for the 4th at Firestone, helping to work with a crew of local volunteers to help produce the town’s signature event.
