Flower Power blooms in Boulder with help from Flatirons Rotary

February 15 was the day Rotary clubs mobilized to bring the joy of flowers to those who can appreciate them most. Here's Francie Anhut's report:

"Two dozen volunteers from the three Boulder-based Rotary Clubs celebrated 'Service Above Self' on Presidents Day by bringing cheer to the elderly in our community. They joined dozens of Rotarians from clubs throughout the Front Range at the convention center in Denver on Sunday evening to help salvage and box thousands of flowering plants after the close of the Colorado Home and Garden Show. Others enjoyed breakfast at Turley's before delivering over 500 flowering plants to residents of eight Boulder facilities such as Sunrise, Manor Care, Golden West, Frasier Meadows and the Academy.
