THE DENVER JAZZ CLUB YOUTH ALL-STARS HAVE BEEN SELECTED TO PERFORM IN THE 2010 SACRAMENTO JAZZ JUBILEE!!!


 


The Denver Jazz Club Youth All-Stars are proud to announce that they will represent the state as the only Colorado youth band invited to perform at the 2010 Sacramento Jazz Jubilee –
the world’s biggest jazz festival!! The Denver Jazz Club is the main sponsor of
a traditional jazz youth all-star band, which was created by recently retired
public school music educator, Dr. Ed Cannava. Ed was the 22 year Director of
Arapahoe High School's three time Downbeat award winning Dry Creek Dixie Dawgs.

Friday, May 14th - 7:30pm (Doors open at 7:00pm) - Coffeehouse Concert - The Louisville Arts Center, 801 Grant Avenue, 303-666-6565. Tickets are just $5.00.


 


Saturday, May 15th - 6:30-8:30pm - Luigi's Italian Restaurant, 8130 S. University Blvd, Centennial, 303-694-9357 (Table Reservations).


 


Sunday, May 16th – 3:45-5:00pm – Denver Jazz Club May Session – Westminster Elks Club, 3850 Elk Dr., Westminster.

DJC YOUTH ALL-STAR MUSICIANS:


Matt Darling, Clarinet (Arapahoe HS Senior): will attend the University of British Columbia and major in music & chemistry.


 


Armando Lopez, Tenor Sax (Eaglecrest HS Senior): will attend CSU and major in music education.


 


Molly Sauer, Cornet (Fairview HS Junior): will major in music.


 


George Darling, Trombone (Arapahoe HS Junior): planning on majoring in music and mechanical engineering.


 


Alex DeVillier, Banjo (Standley Lake HS Sophomore): planning on majoring in music.


 


Rebecca Lugg, Piano (Home Schooled Sophomore): will major in music.


 


Alex Brack, Tuba (Fairview HS Senior): will attend Metro State College.


 


Ray Nesbit, Drums (Green Mountain HS Junior): will attend DU and major in music education.
