J.A.M. Music Conservatory provides guitar classes to local elementary school.

Kevin Johnson, co-owner of the J.A.M. Music Conservatory, recently volunteered for two weeks in the sixth grade classrooms at Zerger Elementary. His goal was to provide a solid basic understanding of how to play the guitar. This was in keeping with the conservatory's mission to share music with the community and to inspire kids to learn a musical instrument.
Tria Dassler, the school principal at Zerger Elementary, had this to say:
“Recently our sixth grade classrooms were abuzz with students practicing finger positions and strumming the strings while Mr. Kevin Johnson introduced “guitar basics” to the kids. Their smiling faces and their eagerness to get to music class was evidence of their excitement to learn how to play the guitar. Our students were very lucky to have a volunteer with such expertise and willingness to share his passion for music!” After the introductory guitar class, many of the students expressed a strong desire to continue learning guitar.
The J.A.M. Music Conservatory plans to provide similar opportunities to other schools in the area, and hopes to make a lasting positive impact on the community and its schools.
J.A.M. is a private music academy that provides private and group lessons in music to students of all ages and all skill levels, specializing in a variety of instruments.
