Key Equipment Finance Employees Donate 100 Handmade Fleece Blankets In Memory of Colleague

Employees of Superior-based Key Equipment Finance demonstrated kindness and compassion for their community recently by donating more than 100 handmade fleece blankets to Avista Adventist Hospital in Louisville and the Rocky Mountain Fire District in Superior.

The blankets were all handmade by the company’s employees, friends and family members in memory of colleague Renee Trumm, who died
unexpectedly earlier this year. Key Equipment Finance suppliers also
generously supported the effort. In her spare time, Trumm enjoyed
making fleece blankets for those in need, which her colleagues
continued in her memory throughout the summer. The donated blankets
will be given to babies, children and young adults suffering from
trauma sustained through a fire, automobile accident, domestic abuse or
other incident. The blankets also will be given to those who are
seriously ill or otherwise in need.

“It is our hope that the blankets provide warmth as well as a sense of
love, comfort and security in a time of need, which is exactly what
Renee hoped for the blankets she so enjoyed making by hand for local
organizations,” said Denise Erickson, one of the organizers of the
employee initiative. “Our goal is to honor her memory and inspire other
local businesses to find a way to give back to the community in which
we live and work.”

Giving back to the community is an important part of the culture at Key Equipment Finance. In addition to this donation, the company supports
many community initiatives including Bonfils blood drives, United Way,
Adopt-a-Family, Ronald McDonald House, March of Dimes, Neighbors Make a
Difference Day and more.

“We appreciate this thoughtful donation from the employees at Key Equipment Finance,” said Dan Durkee, division chief for the Rocky
Mountain Fire District. “We are honored to have the chance to give
these blankets to those who are suffering and to help honor the memory
of Renee Trumm by doing so.”
