Lafayette for Change invites the public to hear representatives from Health Care for All Colorado (HCAC) speak about single-payer health care at 7 pm on Wednesday, March 18 at 158 Zenith Avenue, Lafayette, Griswold residence.

Single-payer healthcare is a form of financing health care that provides private health care through public insurance. One agency—either public or quasi-public—pays providers for the care they deliver.

Brenda VonStar and Barry Keene from HCAC will talk about the advantages of single-payer health care. They will also discuss the Colorado Guaranteed Health Care Act (HB-1273), a bill designed to expand personal choice by allowing Coloradans to leave a job without losing health insurance and by giving everyone a choice of their health care providers.

About Health Care for All Colorado HCAC (www.healthcareforallcolorado.org) is a Colorado volunteer-based, nonprofit organization working for universal health care utilizing a single-payer (improved Medicare for All) financing for all people in Colorado.
