Eight year old Jacoby Ennis participated in the 2014 USATF National Junior Olympic Track & Field Championships last week in Houston, TX. Qualifying for 3 events - the 400m, 800m, and 1500m - through State and Regional Championships earlier in the summer, he was seeded 13th in the 1500m for the event. After posting his best times to date in the 400m and 800m he was determined to bring home a medal in the 1500m, and the title of Junior Olympic All-American. On Sunday morning he did just that - knocking a full 13 seconds off his previous personal record, for a fourth place finish. Jacoby is a member of Redline Track Club in Erie, CO. His time was 5:29.30.
