More than 40 local children ages 8 to 11 learned to be young wizards and witches at the Longmont Museum's Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry Preparatory Academy, a Harry Potter-theme summer camp, the week of July 20, 2015. On the agenda? Potions, spells, defense against the dark arts, tea leaf divination, the care of magical creatures and more.

"This has been one of the best weeks of my life," said Maddie, 10, of Boulder. "All of the details are just right and really make it feel like we are part of Harry Potter."

The Harry Potter camp is just one of many offerings available for kids of all ages this summer at the Longmont Museum. Spots are still available for summer camps related to art, science and history, running through early August. More camps will be available during fall and winter breaks, in addition to weekend programming for kids and adults. To learn more, visit longmontcolorado.gov/museum.
