Local Realtor Turns 50th Birthday into Large Donation To Colorado Horse Rescue

For her 50th birthday, Brenda Love Bennett a local Boulder realtor with Walnut Realty, decided to celebrate with a party and in lieu of gifts, requested that her guests donate to the Colorado Horse Rescue.

Friend, Roxanne Capaul, also involved with helping the Horse Rescue designed a clever invite and helped put together a display at the party that would get the guests attention and encourage them to lay out the cash.

Brenda says "As you are aware, I have collected over a $1000 in cash donations in celebration of my 50th and I am still receiving checks. As guests at my 50th party, Mr. Michael Weiner and his wife, Julie made a generous donation but wanted to do more. They decided to sponsor "Hero". Hero has had a really hard life and resides at the rescue. Sponsoring a horse is a great way to contribute and represents a financial commitment on the part of the donor which is so appreciated by the rescue. Then, in addition, Mr. Weiner's company, New Frontier Media offered to sponsor 6 horses at the rescue! These are such generous donations helping 7 horses and supporting a wonderful group that really needs our support. While Brenda still received gifts, she was happy that her guests stepped up to the plate and donated more than $1,000.00. What a great way to give and have fun at the same time. This will be a party to remember, and Brenda will always be grateful for the help that this donation brought to the wonderful horses at the Colorado Horse Rescue."
