Meals on Wheels of Boulder recently elected Alan Sher and Scott Walker to its board of directors.

         Sher is a sales consultant with Asher Sales Group, which provides executive consulting to the food industry.  He has worked in the food industry for the past 33 years and is currently a volunteer in the Meals on Wheel kitchen.

         Walker is a retired project manager having worked for 25 years with IBM; his earlier career includes managing a restaurant for four years.  He has been a volunteer driver, packer, and outreach team member for Meals on Wheels of Boulder.        

            Other Meals on Wheels of Boulder board members are president Marty Wehr, vice president Carol Knight, secretary/treasurer Merry Sue Clark, Russell Agee, Rick Gabrielsen, Lucy Guercio, Ernie Hildner, Gail Hogsett, Rusty Houssiere, Tom Moore, Christopher Sarson, Dan Spiegler and executive director Francea Phillips.

            Meals on Wheels of Boulder was founded in 1969 and is a locally administered and funded not-for-profit organization serving residents of Boulder.  Meals on Wheels’ clients include individuals of all ages and economic abilities who may be confined to their homes for any reason, including recovery from surgery, an illness or long- or short-term disabilities.  It has provided more than 1.8 million meals to Boulder residents since its founding.
