The next time human beings sends a mission beyond the earth's atmosphere, Monarch seniors Divya Arcot and Noah Clark will have had a hand in that endeavor. Divya and Noah were one of eight students selected from a five state area to serve as paid interns at the Johnson Space Center for eight weeks this summer.

This will be the second trip to Houston for the two who also revceived internships last summer. Divya worked in the IT department at Johnson and Noah programmed simulations and designed CAD models for the Altair project.

The internships are provided by NASA's INSPIRE program which is administered through Oklahoma State University. INSPIRE provides summer opportunites for high school students to explore their passion for science, technology, engineering and math at NASA centers around the country.

Divya and Noah are no strangers to the world of engineering and technology. Both have been leaders of the award winning Monarch High School FIRST Robotics team for the past two years. Divya will be attending MIT in the fall and Noah will study mechanical engineering at Colorado State University.
