Q'n for the Cure!

The Romito Foundation and Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy present the first annual Q’n for the Cure community event

When - May 1st and 2nd 2009. 11am -9 pm on Friday and 10am-9pm on Saturday

Where - Daveco Liquor’s parking lot 16434 North Washington St. Thornton Colorado 80020.

This free family friendly event will feature competition quality barbeque available to the public by members of the Rocky Mountain BBQ Association and other competitive barbecue teams from across the country.

Live entertainment will include local phenomenon Hazel Miller and the amazing accopella Group Face,along with Opie Gone Bad, Megan Burtt, and Ripstoke Bmx team

Local supporting businesses will be on site supporting the Romito Foundation and the DMD community as a whole

Get educated by experts in their field of barbecue during numerous cooking clinics performed by various competitive barbecue teams.

Barbecue teams attending include Four Legs Up BBQ, the 2008 Jack Daniels World Champions, along with BBQ teams from the Rocky Mountain BBQ Association and abroad

Family Friendly events to include a “Kids Q”: This is a wonderful event designed specifically for kids up to age 15. Kids are invited to grill up their own creations on “mini Weber grills”. For a complete list of the rules and regulations please see Q’nforthcure.com

Activities for kids: arts and crafts face painting, old fashioned cotton candy, and static displays from Police, Fire, and Military as well as child “well check” services, and child ID registration.
