Red Oak Park (formerly Boulder Mobile Manor) Groundbreaking Ceremony

Boulder Housing Partners (BHP) is hosting a groundbreaking ceremony for its Red Oak Park affordable housing community.

When:  Wednesday, April 14 – 4 p.m.
Where:  Red Oak Park, 2637 Valmont Road

About Red Oak Park:
Red Oak Park replaces the 60-year-old mobile home park (formerly Boulder Mobile Manor) with 59 permanently affordable units, including single-family homes, duplexes and triplexes. The site will also include a community center and extensive green spaces centered around two parks.  The first rentals are scheduled to be available in January 2011.

Former residents of this site were relocated in October 2008.  BHP anticipates that a third of the original families will move back.  The remaining homes at Red Oak Park will be occupied by the families on Boulder Affordable Rentals waitlist.

Boulder Housing Partners (BHP) is the housing authority serving the city of Boulder.  BHP meets the housing needs of the community by providing four critical housing options: Boulder Affordable Rentals; Public Housing Units; Section 8 Housing Choice Vouchers; and Market-Rate Rental Units.  By providing quality, affordable housing that incorporates a sense of community strength and spirit, BHP supports residents’ efforts to realize success in their lives and in the community.  For information about help with housing needs, the general public can contact BHP at 720-564-4610.
