Rover Retreat Hosts Fundraiser and Open House for Shelter-Me
Photography and HO-BO Boxer Rescue
Continuing its mission to help animals in need, Rover Retreat holds a benefit for two
local nonprofit groups that help to place pets in new homes.
LAFAYETTE, CO —April 1, 2010—Rover Retreat, metropolitan Denver’s premier
dog day care and overnight boarding facility, announces a dual fundraiser and open house
to benefit Shelter-Me Photography and HO-BO Care Boxer Rescue. The event will be
held Saturday, April 10, 2010, at Rover Retreat’s Lafayette location.
Beginning at 10 am and lasting through 1 pm in Lafayette, Colorado, the fundraiser
includes professional photographs of guests’ dogs taken by Shelter-Me Photography, a
nonprofit organization. The cost is $25.00 for the first dog and $5.00 for each additional
dog belonging to the same family.
The goal of Shelter-Me Photography is to help animal shelters and rescue groups place
homeless animals by taking professional photographs of them. Therese Morin, owner of
Rover Retreat, is honored to host the fundraiser. “Shelter and rescue dogs are often
photographed in a kennel or when they first arrive, and they’re upset, scared, and in
shock. Shelter-Me brings out the best in each dog and captures it on film.”
Rover Retreat serves as a foster home for HO-BO Boxer Rescue, and currently has
several dogs available for adoption. Guests will also have the opportunity to meet these
foster dogs, and Morin is optimistic that some of them will find a home.
“The boxers we’re fostering are ready for forever homes,” states Morin. “The open house
is a perfect chance for the fosters to meet people who love dogs, and we have plenty of
room for the foster dogs to play with their potential housemates.”
Those planning to attend are requested to RSVP with the number of dogs to be
photographed to Rover Retreat at 303-604-6264 or info@roverretreat.com. More details
about the event can be found at www.facebook.com/RoverRetreatLafayette.

starved or neglected. They need food, medical treatment, and especially an owner who is
willing to give them the attention they need. For more information about HO-BO Care
Boxer Rescue, visit their website at www.hobocare.com.
