Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church Hosts Texas 4000 Cyclists

Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran church in Gunbarrel will once again host the Texas 4000 cyclists on June 23-24 as they pedal from Austin, Texas to Anchorage, Alaska. Each member of the cycling teams has either had a personal battle with cancer, or has had someone close to them affected. This ride is the longest charity ride in the world and raises money for the American Cancer Society. During the journey, the cyclists visit hospitalized cancer patients to provide support and share their experiences. To read more about this effort, visit www.Texas4000.org. Shepherd of the Hills will welcome the cyclists on June 23 by serving dinner and providing overnight lodging. If you are interested in welcoming these amazing cyclists, contact the church office at 303-530-4422.
