SLIPSTREAM SPORTS LLC ANNOUNCES 2009 TEAM GARMIN-CHIPOTLE LAUNCH EVENT
Proceeds will benefit The Children’s Hospital
Boulder, CO – Slipstream Sports LLC and its chief venture, the Garmin-Chipotle Professional Cycling Team, are providing fans with the rare opportunity to spend an evening with riders and staff at the Boulder Theatre in Boulder, Colo., on Saturday, Nov. 22. The event will feature the official announcement of the 2009 team roster, a silent auction, and an open forum Q&A with the riders. Additionally, guests will get a sneak peak at a feature length documentary from Nick Davis Productions about a year in the life of Team Garmin-Chipotle. The film will air on the Sundance Channel prior to the 2009 Tour de France.Because Slipstream Sports is dedicated to philanthropy and the future, proceeds from the evening will benefit The Children’s Hospital Courage Classic, a three-day cycling event that benefits the hospital. Located in Aurora, Colo., Children’s is a leading pediatric network entirely devoted to the health and wellbeing of children. Cancer survivor and five-time Courage Classic rider Paul Lemieux, 17, will be a featured speaker of the evening.
A limited number of VIP tickets, which include a private cocktail hour with the team, special seating, and a gift bag, are available for $250.00. VIP tickets are available for purchase at www.slipstreamsports.com/gala . General admission tickets are available for $25.00 via the Boulder Theatre Web site http://www.bouldertheater.com/event_detail.php?id=974 . Each ticket purchased comes with one raffle ticket for a custom fit 2008 team edition Felt F1. The winner will be announced at the end of the evening.

A Zipp time trial wheel set signed by U.S. professional champion Dave Zabriskie.

Team Garmin-Chipotle Presented by H30 Owned and managed by Slipstream Sports, a sports marketing and development company, Team Garmin-Chipotle presented by H30 is dedicated to promoting ethical sporting and developing the next generation of cycling champions. In 2007, Slipstream partnered with Agency for Cycling Ethics (ACE), to create the most progressive anti-doping system in the professional sports world. Each of the team's 25 riders will undergo combined voluntary testing at least 700 times throughout the 2008 season, 20 times the number of tests that most professional cyclists are subject to annually.
