The Art Underground is celebrating its five year anniversary with big news of unveiling a new facility at Steel Ranch in Louisville. The 9,200 square foot facility will include a 200 seat theater and provide space to expand their art, dance, film and theater offerings. Classes are available in dance, art, film and theater productions for both youth and adults.
“Its exciting to see so many people come together to help make this happen,” said Lori Jones, the executive director of the nonprofit corporation The Art Underground. The City of Louisville approved a Business Assistance Package for the project on August 4th.
Ground breaking is scheduled for January, 1, 2013.
A celebration and fundraiser will be hosted by The Art Underground’s Board of Directors on September 22 to aid in acquiring the funding needed for seating, lighting, and sound system in the new art center.
