William Dixon of Superior Elementary Finishes 38th in the United States Track and Field Junior Olympics National Championships

William Dixon of Superior Elementary finishes 38th in the USA Track & Field Cross Country National Championships in Reno, NV.

On the hilly, high elevation, snow packed course in Reno, William takes 38th in the 9 and 10 year old division. Of only the 9 year olds he was the 10th finisher making him the 10th fastest 9 year old cross country racer in the USA. William was the first Coloradan to cross the finish line during the National Championship 9 and 10 year old race!

William accomplished all this with limited training since he played football this Fall and while running with a cast on his left arm. (William broke his arm in the last game of the football season).

William will be in the same age category next year. Hopefully we will see him again next year at 2010 National Championships in Hoover, Alabama. William runs under Ric Rojas Running, Boulder Colorado.
