Junior Olympian Will Dixon of Superior, CO proves himself again at the USATF Junior Olympic National Championships in Sacramento, CA.   Dixon places 3rd overall in the 9 and 10 year old division Multi-Event Triathlon, narrowly missing 2nd place by two points.   Will also qualified for the 800 meter finals (top 8 out of 38 national qualifiers) with the 4th best time of 2:29.47.   Will placed 7th in the 800 meter finals with a time of 2:27.44 (PR). 

William had an incredible Track and Field season.  He made the Elite Youth All American (top 20 in the USA) list in two events:  800 meter and Mutli-Event Triathlon.  He also made the Elite Youth Honor Roll (top 100 in the USA) in two other events:  400 meter and High Jump.

Adding to his list of accomplishments - Will took 3rd place in the 800 meter  finals, 2nd place in the Triathlon and 5th in the High Jump at the USATF Youth National Championships in Chicago, IL in June earlier this Summer.

Leading up to the National Junior Olympic Championships in Sacramento, Will participated in the Colorado State and Region X track meets.  Will won the Colorado State Outdoor Championship in the 400m, High Jump and Mutli-Event Triathlon.  He placed 2nd place in the 800 meter race.  He also won the Junior Olympic Regional Championship in the Triathlon while taking 2nd place in the 800 meter race.

During the Winter Indoor Track season Will broke a 19 year old 800 meter record at the Martin Luther King, Air Force Academy indoor track meet  previously set by Emmon Gardner in 1991.   He also won the Colorado Indoor State Championship in the 400m, 800m and High Jump in Boulder.
