Lafayette, Colorado – WOW! Children’s Museum is excited to welcome back visitors and members with health and safety as the Museum’s top priority as it begins a phased reopening on Saturday, August 8. In preparation for reopening, WOW! has mindfully made changes to operations and exhibits to adhere to municipal and state guidelines and requirements related to COVID-19. During the first phase of reopening, the Museum will be operating with reduced hours and limited visitor capacity. WOW! will initially open for just members on August 4 and August 6 and to the general public on August 8.
While WOW! remains dedicated to inspiring children to learn through play, things will look a little different in the Museum. With safety in mind, WOW! has made the following changes to the Museum experience:
WOW! reminds our visitors and members to play it safe! The Museum requires visitors to follow these guidelines:
“We are so excited to welcome our community members back into the Museum,” said Joanna Cagan, Executive Director, WOW! Children’s Museum. “These have been very difficult times for all of us, not just at WOW! but throughout the City of Lafayette and Boulder County. We’ve taken our time with this reopening plan, to ensure that we are up-to-date on cleaning and social-distancing procedures, and we are so grateful for the community’s patience during this period. We are also so grateful for the continued financial support of our members and the greater Lafayette community. As with many non-profits, we have watched our revenue plummet these last five months, and we are now operating on a razor-thin margin as we continue to serve families in our community.”
