Wreaths Across America

On December 10th, William Smith Livingston CAR members traveled to Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver to honor veterans during the holiday season as part of the annual Wreaths Across America Day.    Seven ceremonial wreaths for the Army, Marines, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, Merchant Marine, and POW/MIA were be placed on memorials during the ceremony that was coordinated simultaneously with over 600 participating locations all across the Country.  The memorial wreaths remember all who served, honor their sacrifices, and serve to teach our younger generations about the high cost of our freedoms.  The ceremony lasted about 30 minutes, then several groups including the military, civil air patrol, boy scouts, patriot guard, etc. worked to place 1,300 wreaths.  We recorded the veteran’s information where we placed wreaths and hope to research and learn more about their service.  Watch the ceremony at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0e_N2CYbtvE
